Biophilic Charm meets Modern Sophistication

Tranquil, warm, and serene are just a few words to describe this newly remodeled kitchen space. Starting with a small kitchen with very little room for mobility and passage, the new open concept kitchen brings a vastness of life and efficiency to the space.

We began by removing the load bearing wall between the kitchen and dining room to aggrandize the kitchen size. Two islands are featured in the space, optimizing workspace, storage and providing an abundance of seating. The islands are topped with real premium Taj Mahal Quartzite, sourced from a small quarry in Ceara, Brazil. Taj Mahal Quartzite is a hard, large crystal structure formed by extreme heat. The best quality Taj Mahal, as used in this kitchen, can be polished to an almost mirror finish and has natural stain resistances as well.

The main island features a Wolf 30” Transitional Induction Cooktop and a Wolf 30” 600 CFM Downdraft System. RevAShelf accessories, such as the Spice Pull Out and Tray Divider, are also housed in the large island. The secondary island contains a Sub-Zero 30” Drawer Base Freezer and features a hidden toe kick vacuum. This kitchen was designed around functionality for the clients.

Additional appliances include Sub-Zero 36” Designer Column Refrigerator, Wolf 30” Single Wall Oven and Wolf 30” Drop Down Door Microwave Oven. A 72” hand finished, surgical grade stainless steel, custom Harmony Paragon Rachiele sink is positioned under the bank of windows in the kitchen. The sink also contains two Waterstone Extended Reach Pulldown Faucets and two Auto Tap stainless steel touchless foot pedals. A focal point in the space is the Babodecor Unique Boho Rattan Pendant Lights staggered above the main island space. They are handmade wooden rattan lamp fixtures, made to order. These woven lights were hand selected by our clients who then worked closely with our electrician and our team to determine cord length, placement, and location.

Throughout the kitchen, you will see featured Fabuwood’s Allure, Luna Timber cabinetry with Cambria’s Blackpool Quartz on the perimeter countertops and Taj Mahal Quartzite on the two islands. Berenson’s Hardware in the Advantage One Contemporary pull was used in assorted sizes. New hardwood flooring was installed in the new kitchen space, finished and stained to match the existing hardwood flooring in the rest of the home. Recessed lights were installed throughout the ceiling space to provide additional overhead lighting.
