Custom Kitchen Renovation In Hanover, PA

Many clients want to remodel their kitchen to create a more desirable workflow. A better floor layout was high on the list for this kitchen renovation project. Previously there was a small, awkward island in the center which took a lot of space. The kitchen also lacked sufficient task lighting. As we began planning and designing, we realized that the layout would be better suited by flipping the main work area of the kitchen on the opposite wall and designed a peninsula instead of incorporating another island. Incorporating a peninsula allowed bar seating as well. We strategically incorporated LED high hats in the ceiling and added undercabinet dimmable LED lighting.

Red Oak Remodeling installed frameless shaker style, Satin White, Elias Custom Cabinetry with Blum soft-close hinges and drawer glides. Berenson, brushed nickel square knobs, and brushed nickel drawer pulls were selected for the cabinetry. Astoria Granite was used on the countertops. For the backsplash, Portico Peal, a pearly beige 3×5 subway tile was applied in a herringbone pattern. Elkay-Dayton single bowl stainless sink, Luxart- Aerro single lever faucet with pull-down sprayer and matching Luxart soap dispenser and a Badger-InSinkErator garbage disposal with an easy access countertop push-button air switch.

The walls were painted with Sherwin-Williams, Creamy, SW #7012. We replaced the old flooring with Armstrong’s LVT Alterna in 12×24 squares in a herringbone pattern in Light Grey with Smoke colored grout. We replaced an old window in the kitchen with a new taller Andersen 400 Series double-hung unit.
