Take time to relax with a hot bath in the large rectangular soaker tub or get revitalized with the massage shower jets while you listen to the gentle sounds of the rain head shower heads. Take a step out of the shower onto the Italian ceramic tiled floor and your toes will appreciate the toasty warmth feeling from the radiant floor heating.

There’s an oversized tiled shower with two types of shower heads and body massage shower jets, a free-standing soaker tub with a rain tub filler, radiant heat for the tile floor, a separate water closet for the toilet, plenty of LED lighting and two separate vanity areas plus a makeup vanity area that you can sit.

The homeowner wanted to give the bathroom a fresh new updated look while utilizing the large existing space. The previous large platform tub took up a lot of space and was placed in front of three casement windows which made them hard to operate. The original shower configuration was rather small for the scale of the bathroom. A solid wall in the shower enclosed the space making it seem cave-like, so we reconfigured the size and opened it up using a ½ knee wall and glass shower enclosure.

We incorporated grey tones for the color scheme, using a pop of color on the shower floor with 4” Gazzini mosaic hexagon tiles from the Metal Art Collection in both light and dark grey tones as well as in the back of the niche. The 12x24 Gazzini ceramic tiled shower walls were installed in a running bond pattern. The Fabuwood Galaxy Cobblestone vanity cabinetry and mirror moldings were selected in a dark charcoal grey with a semi-transparent stain. Italian made 12x24 ceramic tile by Impronta was selected for the bathroom floor in a shale grey color. A pure white rectangular Interquatic soaking tub was chosen along with white Kohler rectangular vanity sinks. An 8” square Riobel rain-shower head and matching hand-held were selected for the shower. Riobel’s sleek looking Equinox wide-spread lav faucets in brushed nickel faucets were installed. The walls were painted with a soft grey using Sherwin-Williams paints and a semi-gloss white was used on the all the surrounding trim moldings. All the accessories were mindfully selected in brushed nickel with contemporary linear lines.

Berenson’s Metro Square Brushed Nickel knobs were installed on the cabinetry. Emerstone’s Borghini Lincoln, white with grey veining Quartz was used on the vanity countertops, shower threshold and kneewall caps. A one-piece white elongated contemporary Kohler San Souci comfort height toilet was installed in the separate water closet area.
