Refreshing Kitchen Remodel in Red Lion, PA

This kitchen was in need of a new design as the clients wanted to be able to move with ease throughout the tight space. With limited cabinetry and a small floorplan, they did not want to lose any storage or countertop room. They hoped to gain an open feel to the new kitchen while ensuring it remains practical and flows with their daily use. A new and improved layout was created, gaining just that!

Removing the existing peninsula cleared an area to walk through the new kitchen freely. We also removed a partial wall that was creating a divide between the kitchen and dining area. This partial wall was also restricting the cabinetry on that perimeter wall. Featuring Fabuwood's Allure, Fusion: Oyster cabinetry, we brought the height of the cabinets to the ceiling and added a decorative crown molding. A coffee bar, made up of semi-custom Fabuwood cabinets, enhances the dining area while also offering additional storage and countertop space. Larger, new and improved pantry cabinets were installed where the partial wall was removed.

Two Hines 7" Wide Matte Black Mini Pendant Lights were centered above the coffee bar and one Hines 7" Wide Matte Black Mini Pendant Light was centered above the Ruvati epiGranite 33" Undermount Double Basin Granite Composite Kitchen Sink. Dimmable under cabinet lighting was installed throughout the kitchen, as well as dimmable LED lights installed on top of the tall pantry cabinets, highlighting the décor of the client. Six additional recessed high-hat lights were positioned evenly throughout the space to provide optimal overhead lighting.

Moen’s Sleek Matte Black One-Handle High Arc Pulldown Kitchen Faucet was selected, offering a balance between elegance and function. Berenson's Black Hearthstone square knobs and pulls accent the matte black finishes throughout the kitchen. LG’s Viatera Aria Quartz countertops dress all the cabinets beautifully and complement the warm colors used throughout the room. Mannington’s Adura Flex®, Century Pumice 12x24 Luxury Vinyl Tile was installed and trimmed with a 3 ¼” colonial base trim. Lea Ceramiche’s, The Rock, 3x6, Ivory porcelain backsplash tile ran in 1/3 running bond pattern offers visually pleasing aesthetics of real rock and is inspired by natural elements.

This kitchen also features all new GE appliances, a GE® 30" Slide-In Front-Control Convection Gas Range in fingerprint resistant Black Slate, GE Profile™ Series 2.1 Cu. Ft. Over-the-Range Sensor Microwave Oven, and GE® ENERGY STAR® 22.1 Cu. Ft. Counter-Depth French-Door Refrigerator in fingerprint resistant Black Slate.

This kitchen did a complete transformation but did not loose its originality. We can only hope the new space enriches the lives of our clients for many years to come.
